1 x Rotel RD-300M cassette deck for sale in Silver / Wood.

Here we have a Rotel RD-300M cassette deck for sale.  This unit was obtained in its’s original state and refused to rewind. A seized lever was the culprit of the lack of rewind and a good clean and lubrication restored this operation to normal.

While on the bench many aspects of this unit were addressed to improve if chances of a long life to come:

1. All electrolytic capacitors were exchanged for modern Nichicon equivalents
2. All external cables were removed and replaced (Mains and audio cables)
3. Brand new belts were fitted to the mechanism
4. The tape path was given a brand new upgraded pinch roller, now incorporating a bronze bearing

We are extremely pleased with the result of the work on this unit, and just now look forward to finding it a new home!

Notes:

Will be supplied with a figure of 8 mains cable and brand new antennas for the tuner.

As a refurbished unit, some scratches and cosmetic defects will be present on this device from previous use.
